Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Then it goes on to say that the greatest of faith hope and love is love. I have been in love before as many of us have it may have been more lust than love. But when I look at this verse on what love is and that agape love that God has for us. I realize very quickly that the love I felt before had limitations it keep records of wrongdoings held grudges and never trusted never protected never persevered. That simply wasn't love as God intended it to be. I thank God for love and for opening my heart to be loved.
