Deman + Detangling = Devil

Last night I had a revelation about my #natural hair.  The Deman brush is the devil if used for detangling.  Over the last few months being here in Texas I was trying to figure out why my hair wasn't growing and kept experiencing breakage.  In Texas, the humidity enough should have my roots sprouting a half an inch a month.  I re-evaluated my routine and realized that the common demoniator is the Deman brush I use in the shower.  This brush strips my hair and splits my ends.  I just thought I was simply detangling my hair until the other day I detangled in the shower using a wide tooth comb.  I noticed that I got less breakage and less hair sheding.  It was a AHHHAAA moment.  So, my goal in 2010 is to grow and retain about 4 inches of hair using No Heat (at all), detangling with wide tooth comb, and protecting my hair using protective styles.
