Tasty Tuesday: Turkey Pot Pie

Its Tasty Tuesday and today on the menu is Turkey Pot Pie

Ingredients:
1 lb Turkey Breast
1 medium yellow onion
1 clove of garlic
1 package of mixed vegetables (Peas, Carrots, Green Beans, Corn)
1 cup Chicken Broth
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all purpose flour
2 deep dish pie crusts
Olive Oil for pan coating
Salt and pepper and Ms. Dash for taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.  Thaw out your turkey breast before hand or defrost them in the microwave. Set them aside and preheat your George Forman grill or oil a skillet with olive oil. Take out your deep dish pie crusts from freezer and set them aside.

Turn on your skillet to medium add a few turns of Olive Oil.  Cut up your oinion and garlic and add to Olive Oil skillet when hot cook until onions appear translucent.  To make a rue add in the butter mix with onions and garlic.  Then immediately add in flour.

Add in the chicken broth and vegetables.  Bring to boil then cut heat back to form a sauce.  Let simmer until sauce thickens.

Season turkey breast with salt, pepper, and Ms. Dash on both sides.  You may also use some poultry seasoning if you like.  Place on George Foreman grill or in the hot Olive Oil skillet.  Let cook for 6 minutes in George Foreman grill or until appear golden brown.

Chop up turkey breasts into bite size pieces.

Add turkey breast to vegetable mixture.  Stir in, turn off heat, and let sit for another 5 minutes.

Add the turkey vegetable mixture to one pie crust.   The pie crust was placed on a cookie sit in case of dripping.

Take the other pie crust and place it directly on top of the pie crust.  Let sit for a few minutes to drop from pan.  Manuver the edges of the pan to remove pie without breaking the crust.  This takes some practice but practice makes perfect.

Adjust the pie crust to fit parts of the pie that are not covered.

Bake until golden brown for approximately 25 minutes.

Let sit and cool and serve.  Enjoy!

Keep the Faith!

Until next time,
~E
