Transformation Thursdays: Keep on Pressing!

I will press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling through Christ Jesus.  Phillipians 3:14

I tend to write the exact way I feel at the exact time.  I tried to write things in the past in present time, but it doesn't seem to have the same emotional impact as if I wrote it when it was happening.  I started this blog in 2008 to document my natural hair journey.  I had a separate blog I used as my journal for my feelings, and in 2009 I combined the two, this is what Share EMF World has become.  I blog my feelings because it helps me to make sense of what is going on in my life.  I also write spoken word and poetry.  I consider myself a renassiance woman, a woman of the arts, reading, writing/blogging, poetry, music, spoken word, theater,etc.  One thing I never considered myself was a writer, until I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.  I love to read, not necessary write.  Reading this book has moved me in a way that I want to dream a bigger dream, live the sweet life, Dolce vita.  It moved me enough to want to write my own personal memoir of my experiences post college.  The year of transition is what I like to call it going from college to your profession.  Moving to a new place with no friends, no family, no village.  Working to live not living to work.  Counting down until Fridays.  Learning, growing, changing, into the person God has called you to become and overcoming obstacles mainly getting out or your own way.  One thing that remains consistent in my writing/blogging is God's grace.  In all I do the goals I want to achieve I always will continue to keep on pressing.  I encourage you to do the same!
