Entrepreneurship Wednesday: Preparing to take your GMAT

How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.  This is exactly how I plan to prepare for my GMAT.  One step at a time. I have purchased books and plan to go through those in depth.  I also am looking into taking some GMAT courses.  Mainly verbal, math is my strength.  I have researched many different courses and of course they are pretty pricey.  I decided I'm going to give Leisure Learning a try.  It is the most cost effective and my friend gave rave reviews of there GRE course she is currently taking.

Here is some information:
Those who enroll in a PrimeScore GMAT course receive the following benefits:
  • A risk-free trial: Try a session before your payment is due.
  • Satisfaction guarantee. Students are welcome to repeat the course at no extra charge without restrictions.
  • Comprehensive preparation including proven test-taking strategies: Learn test-taking strategies that will help you save time and avoid common traps that appear on the GMAT while receiving the added benefit of improving these academic skills. See what these tests are like by taking several diagnostic tests. Instructional hours: 29.
  • Expert Instruction: Mike Wagner (MBA, Rice), who founded PrimeScore in 2001 after teaching for Kaplan in 1998-99, teaches this course. He scored at the 99th percentile on the GMAT.
  • Math-only or Verbal-only options: Unlike other test prep companies, PrimeScore allows you to save by enrolling in only the math or verbal portion of this course. Contact the instructor for the dates of these classes at 713-977-8378.
  • Big Savings: Save up to 50% verses other companies.
PrimeScore’s Full Course (9 sessions): $599; Math or Verbal only (5 or 4 sessions): $399; Our competition: $1199 to $1449 with no Math-only/Verbal-only options.
  • Small classes: Although class size is limited to 15 students, many courses have 10 or fewer students.
$599 for the full course compared to Kaplan or Princeton Review is half the price.  I am going to study on my own up until there next session begins in September.  Then I will invest in myself.  I've decided I will let Big Oil pay for me to go back to school.  Going to apply to Rice University, University of Houston, and Lamar University, for Fall 2011 admission.  I want to go to Rice University and I pray that I get in :D

How do you plan to prepare to take the GMAT or other graduate school admission exams?

Keep the Faith!

Until next time,
~E
