Yes you read the title right. So I've been contemplating and dreaming of combing my locs out and becoming a loose natural again. On Saturday morning I arose with one of my locs staring at me on my pillow. Yes a loc that was near the temple of my head on the right side completely broke off. I was devastated. I didn't know what to do. So I moved all of my locs to one side put a flower in the other side and went about my day. I thought I may have alopecia a hair loss disorder many people have. I drove to a local vineyard to meet up with some friends and thought about what I'm going to do. There was no way to hide my bald spot where the loc was once formed. My temporary solution of hiding it with locs was exactly that temporary. I decided to finally take them down. The locs in the front were still very loose and shouldn't take much time. Or this is what I thought as I was driving. After I left the vineyard instead of driving to Houston as I had originally planned I went home to begin the take down. It took 7 hours to undo 7 months of growing. I'm happy with my decision as I love my fro and natural hair. Now I have a bigger problem to tackle to see of I indeed have alopecia. Going to make an appointment at my local dermatologist to find out. I enjoyed the journey just realized locs are not for me. Evidence was proven when I woke up to see one staring in my face. Locs be gone now natural hair grow!
Keep the Faith!
Until next time,
