Driving back from New Orleans, Louisiana this past weekend, I decided to play Pandora the Mary Mary station through my phone in my car. My spirit was instantly lifted as I heard tunes of "God in Me" and "I just wanna thank ya", but my heart was heavy and tears began to well up in my eyes when I heard "Enlarge my territory".

This weekend in New Orleans, I was attending the National Society of Black Engineers Fall Regional Conference. At this conference middle school, high school, college students, and alumni members get together to compete, look for job opportunites, and of course network and fellowship. I ended up seeing a friend I met through a friend there. Completely caught off guard I was on the phone on the elevator headed down to the lobby it stopped at the 7th floor. There he is waiting for the elevator, and I hardly recognized him because he had just gotten a fresh hair cut. He hadn't gotten a hair cut in months like almost a year. We immediately embraced, said our hellos, and got off at his floor so he could take me to see one of his friends. Such a small world indeed. We ended up talking about numerous things, but one thing he said to me is that "God takes us on a journey when we are waiting for a mate, and during that time if we aren't in his will he will make everything else in our lives frustrating." It was almost as he propheized to me. Nothing but God using him as a vessel.
These last few months I have been going through at work. I've been wondering why the devil was so busy and why I wasn't happy. I completely wanted out. I constantly was praying for INCREASE and praising God inspite of the hell I was going through at work. After my praise and worship session in my car a burden was lifted and I asked God to ENLARGE MY TERRITORY. On Monday, of this week, I was blessed with the opportunity of moving into another high profile role at work. A role that will be more challenging and will require more of my time. I realized that God did indeed "Enlarge my territory" and removed me out of a failing situation into one that will open many doors in the future.
Sometimes we have to look the devil in the eye tell him MOVE that God WILL increase and enlarge my territory. I am a witness that prayer works and we have to stay in God's will no matter how hard, frustrating or complicated life may seem. We have to continue to praise him through it all.
Are you praying for increase? Are you asking God to enlarge your territory? Will you be ready when he does answer your prayers?
Keep the Faith!
Until next time,
~E
