Tasty Tuesday: Homemade Low Fat Chocolate and Berry Granola

As apart of my fruits and vegetable cleanse.  I am also incorporating Nuts for protein.  So I decided to spice up my granola recipe and add in some berries.

Ingredients:
1 package of slithered almonds
1 cup of coconut
1 1/2 cups of oats
1/2 cup of chocolate
1/2 cup of raisins
1 package of dried mixed berries (cherries, cranberries, and blueberries)
1/2 cup honey
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup of Splenda Brown Sugar
Parchment Paper
8x12 pan
Cookie Sheet
Sauce Pan

Preheat oven to 400F.  Take the oats, coconut, and almonds mix and place on cookie sheet and place in oven til golden brown with turning for about 10-15 minutes turning every 5 minutes.

On stove top mix the brown sugar, butter, and honey in sauce pan until it comes to bubble.  When starts to bubble take from heat and let cool until oats/almond mixture is finished browning.

Pour oats/almond mixture into bowl add in raisins, berries, and chocolate.

Mix in honey into mixture until oats/berries are covered.

Cover 8x12 pan with parchment paper and pour granola and pat down with spoon to make even across the pan.  Place in refridegerator overnight to harden.

Cut into bars once cooled and Enjoy!

Keep the Faith!

Until next time,
~E
