TEN things to say to a parent who has loss children

As a follow up to last weeks post. Here are ten things that can help uplift parents during their time of grief.

1. I'm sorry for your loss or I'm sorry that your child died.
2. I'm not sure what to say. I am at a loss for words.
3. How are you doing? Then let them respond.
4. We will miss "name of deceased"
5. I know that your faith in God is what will get you through this tragedy.
6. I've been thinking and praying for you. Only say this if you really have been praying! :D
7. Acknowledge the loss child by name in conversation.
8. You are experiencing a level of pain and loss most people can not imagine and will never experience.
9. Don't forget dad and asking him how he is grieving.
10. Always remember special dates like the babies birth date and remember the parents on Mothers Day and Fathers Day.

BONUS: 11. Just reaching out and being there for someone during their time of grief is more than enough even if you don't know what to say!

I pray that this helps someone who doesn't know what to say to a parent who has loss a child.

Keep the Faith!

Until next time,
~E
