Workout Wednesdays: P90X Workout

You must be sleeping under a rock if you haven't heard of P90X.  P90X is Tony Hortons beach body workout which features 12 dvd's of sweat-inducing, muscle pumping exercises designed to transform your body from regular to ripped in just 90 days. I am on Day 2 and I'm hurting. P90X is the ultimate full body workout.  Everything hurts and I mean everything.  I took measurements on Day 1 and will track my progress throughout the 90 days.  I hope to see great results, loose a few inches and pounds, and of course gain muscle mass.  One thing that is motivating me to continue with this workout is I'm working out early in the morning at work.  Since, I already have to go to work, it makes it easier to get up and go, workout, and get in before everyone.  Call me crazy, but I am a morning person and I don't mind getting up at 430am for a 530am workout.  Its all in your mind.  If I can do so can you!

My Day 1 Measurements
Current Weight 170lbs Goal Weight 145lbs
Neck circumference 16 3/4''
Chest circumference 49''
Arm circumference 16''
Waist circumference (where belly button falls) 44''
Leg (thigh) circumference 21''

Physical Fitness Evaluation
Number of Sit-ups in 1 minute 32 Goal 64
Number of Push-ups 13 Goal 25
Heart rate after 1 minute of Jumping Rope 25 Goal 27

What are your workout goals for 2011?  Have you tried P90X?  If so, how did you like it? Did you see results?

Keep the Faith!

Until next time,
~E

  1. Get it Erica! I tried the Insanity work out before, it is somewhat similar to P90X. You can definitely feel the burn, but I couldn't last through the workouts. Since I am right down the street from a YMCA now, I will start going there to workout...Trying to make it a year long commitment. Becoming a morning person is further down the line for me though.

  2. I haven't tried P90X, but I do the INSANITY and Turbokick DVD's which are both part of the Beach Body product line. I'm sure P90X is working you just as hard as those two DVD's try to kill me. LOL! Good Luck with your 2011 fitness goals!!
